A Message for Our Visitors...

Bulger Creek Farm, L.L.C. is located on 80 beautiful acres in east, central Alabama just 15 miles west of Auburn, near Notasulga, Alabama. The farm is owned and operated by Kyle and Melanie Payne. Our L.L.C. was formed in 1998 when we became the only licensed goat dairy in Alabama. Our corporation is a partnership made up of Kyle and Melanie, along with adult children, Willie and Amanda. Our 70+ goats produce milk for our gourmet goat cheese products and goat milk soap. As we increase our customer base, our goatherd continues to grow. It is our goal to eventually run a herd of 150 animals to assure our milk volume for a longer season of production.

Producing goat cheese is not all we do. Kyle teaches advanced math classes at Beauregard High School in Lee County. Melanie is the Child Nutrition Director for Opelika City Schools. Willie now lives in Wewahitchka, FL and is a civil engineer. He still helps around the farm whenever he visits. The Pecan Wheel is his creation. Amanda occasionally acts as a relief milker, is responsible for the development and maintainance of our web site, works as a computer technician for Lee County Schools, and is a senior in software engineering at Auburn University. She also designed all of our product labels.

We are a licensed goat dairy and a licensed cheese manufacturing plant. We also hold a county health department certificate in order to produce our cheesecakes from our commercial kitchen. Visit our booth at several markets to sample our 4 varieties of goat cheese available and sniff our 7 fragrances of soap.
